Over the past few days I have subscribed to several different services that make huge promises for automating the process to get twitter followers for me. I have tried free services and a few paid programs and I am reluctant to report that I have been more than disappointed with most of what I have seen!

What I was looking for to get twitter followers was automation, period. And what I found was alot of extra work, or followers that were fake or not targetted to what I needed. First I’ll tell you what didn’t work, then I’ll show you what did!

I tried a paid (VIP) service that promised up to 400 followers for a fee of $15 for one day. This seemed like a good idea and I joined. I’ll keep this short but I got a whole lot LESS then the 400 folowers I was expecting! It also turns out that alot of the one I picked up were not real accounts from real people… total waste of my $15!

Next I came across “Twitter Traffic Machine” and it sounded like everything I was looking for! Well, there is a lot of information provided in the program and it will probably not be a bad buy at only $27 BUT there was nothing automated about it! It is a simple tutorial that shows how to utilize free services to get twitter followers. Not bad information, but a bit of work to set it up, not the automation I wanted and all the info provided can be found for free on the web with a little research. I won’t ask for a refund on this one as I did learn enough to have justified the cost.

Today I received an email that was promoting EXACTLY what I wanted. I want to get twitter followers at the push of a button and that is what this software does!

5. Remove followers who don’t follow you (VERY IMPORTANT)

It is that simple. In the first hour of using it I have added 32 new followers. Real folowers with real tweets that aren’t all from automatic posting services. I will let the software run overnight and report back here on the outcome. Tomorrow I will also make a new Twitter account for a niche and use ONLY this program to get twitter followers and report the results back here.

UPDATE 7/15/2009 Get Twitter Followers Experiment

On my test twitter account, I started with 62 followers that I obtained through the “Twitter Traffic Machine” mentioned above. Not bad for a couple hours of work – but not good enough and definately not automated!

I started the Twitter automation software late last night and set it to add new followers at a fairly slow pace. I awoke this morning and found the test twitter account now had 231 followers! That is an increase of 169 followers in just a few hours by just clicking the ‘start’ button on the software! I have started the software again at 4pm(cst) and will let it run for a few more hours into the evening and report back here…

UPDATE 7/16/2009 12:12am Get Twitter Followers Test

It has been about six hours since my last update and the software has raised my followers to 385. Another gain of 154 followers, or an average of one new follower every couple of minutes, not bad for a buck! If I let the program run, mathmatically I should be able to add roughly 700 followers per day! So now at 12:20am(cst) I have 389 followers. I will update again later this morning…

UPDATE 7/16/2009 10:55am my bid to get twitter followers

It has been around 10 hours since last update and I am now up to 719 followers, a gain of 330 wile I slept. Still extremly satisified with the program.

UPDATE 7/16/2009 5:00pm First Issue In Bid To Get Twitter Followers

I have left the software running, adding followers for a bit too long without removing some of the people I am following and my ratio got too far off balance. Not a problem though as the software allows me to remove people who are not following me with the push of a button. Am starting that process now.
