I was looking desperately for a while now trying to find the latest search engine optimization(SEO) strategies out there. But does anybody really know how it all works? I mean it is not likely that the owners of the search engines are going to tell us. If they did then it would become useless with so many websites made exactly the same trying to manipulate the search engines in there favor. So which instructions are you going to follow when you do find advice? I say what ever works that does not get you penalized by search bots.

We all have been told everything there is to know about SEO. Tricks like making your keywords stand out is suppose to help but what boost do you get from it. Doing this alone will not have you racing to the top. I see people doing things like creating links from their keywords to sites like Wikipedia but that only helps them not you. This is one of the reasons why their website can usually be found on page one of most search phrases. Then there is the issue of keyword density. Some say less than 10% of content should hold your keywords and others want more used. Sure, you can not just add in your keywords one hundred times in one small article but how much is too much?

Then there are those SEO tips that suggest that you should have your main keyword phrase as your domanin name. It seems to work for some sites but there are lots of websites that can get listed above them without the keyword present at all. So it can’t be that simple. There has to be more to it.

The search bots still reads your meta tags title and descriptions. Or you can let the search engines decide what to display. Frankly I choose the meta tags because it seems to work better. If not then be sure to put what you want to be on page one on in the first view sentences of content to make it simple for the bots to know what your website is created for.

How about all those dirty tricks for optimization people use. You know like placing a site with tiny words packed with keywords or cramming tons of keywords in alternative text in pictures. Those things only work for a short while and then you get taken to like page one hundred or so. Take it from me, I would not use any of those tips.

The best way to go is using well written text with one way links from quality websites are still the only wat to do it. Updating your content regularly will keep the search bots coming back. One way links will tell them how admired your website is. But your links should come from different places. Make sure to shake it up a bit with good links from forums, review sites, videos, blogs, article directories and ect. There are more things you can do but those are two of the most important things.

I could talk for days about what webmaster think they know about optimization but there is no need to. You need to find what works and when it is successful then repeat the process for all of your sites and pages. With a little effort you could see yourself on top in no time.
